Laura Bell Bundy’s gone country
This former Legally Blonde star’s new country album, “Achin’ and Shakin‘,” was released today, April 13. Her debut country album, “Longing for a Place Already Gone,” was released in 2007. “Achin’ and Shakin’” features 12 songs, 11 of which were written by Bundy.
Cast of Glee appears on Oprah today!
The cast of the hit Fox show “Glee” will be appearing on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” today!
It’s anticipated this will be a full hour of Glee goodness, featuring exclusive interviews, performances, behind-the-scenes features at rehearsals and recordings.. and a real high school performance choir will perform Madonna’s “Vogue” in period costumes, and with Oprah surprising them in some way that will cause tears.

The Addams Family on Letterman tonight [Updated with video]
The cast of the new Broadway musical, The Addams Family, will appear tonight on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” The show, which opened for previews on March 8 and officially opens April 8, features Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth as Gomez and Morticia.
Cast of Fela! and Abigail Breslin on The View, March 4
The ladies on ABC’s “The View” will have a double-dose of Broadway tomorrow morning. The cast of the Broadway musical Fela! and The Miracle Worker‘s Abigail Breslin will both grace the presence of these chatty ladies.
Tune in to “The View” on ABC at 11 AM ET Thursday morning to catch this double treat, airing live!
The cast of the musical Fela! will likely perform a song from the show, which explores “the extravagant, decadent, and rebellious world of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Using his pioneering music (a blend of jazz, funk and African rhythm and harmonies), the musical reveals Kuti’s controversial life as an artist and political activist.”
Janet Dacal to return to In the Heights after Wonderland
Janet Dacal, most recently seen in the world premiere production of the new musical, Wonderland, will return to In the Heights on Feb. 19.
Wonderland opens in Houston at the Alley Theatre
Wonderland: Alice’s New Musical Adventure officially opened in Houston at the Alley Theatre on Jan. 20, following previews which began Jan. 15. It will play through Feb. 14.

Hollywood beauty, actress Jean Simmons dead at 80
Our world lost a great shining star last week. The beautiful and graceful Jean Simmons, known for her roles in Guys and Dolls and Spartacus, and Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music, died at her home in Santa Monica, California, on Friday, January 22, after a battle with lung cancer. She was 80 years old.

Wicked return to Chicago in Dec. 2010 for 8-week engagement
