The ladies on ABC’s “The View” will have a double-dose of Broadway tomorrow morning. The cast of the Broadway musical Fela! and The Miracle Worker’s Abigail Breslin will both grace the presence of these chatty ladies.
Tune in to “The View” on ABC at 11 AM ET Thursday morning to catch this double treat, airing live!
The cast of the musical Fela! will likely perform a song from the show, which explores “the extravagant, decadent, and rebellious world of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Using his pioneering music (a blend of jazz, funk and African rhythm and harmonies), the musical reveals Kuti’s controversial life as an artist and political activist.”

The revival of the 1960’s musical Hair recently returned to Broadway, opening March 31 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Tonight the cast of Hair will recreate a historic and iconic moment as they perform at the Ed Sullivan Theater on “The Late Show with David Letterman.”

Academy Awards, Amanda Seyfried, Broadway on TV, High School Musical, Hugh Jackman, Musicals on TV, News, Oscars, Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron »
Hugh Jackman must be missing the Tony Awards, because he perfected the musical numbers at the Oscars this year. From what I’ve read around the Internet, people either loved it or hated it. I, for one, loved it.
Yeah, the big “The Musical is Back” number was really big, flashy, and out there, but come on — it was created by Baz Luhrmann, the creator of “Moulin Rouge.” Could we expect anything less from Baz?
I’ve read two complaints, 1) that Hugh wasn’t funny enough, and 2) the musical has been back …
