Barrett Foa to Guest Star on Numb3rs, March 6

It seems to be the week of theatre-related guest stars on popular television shows. Last night featured Pattie LuPone and John Lithgow on “30 Rock,” and Cheyenne Jackson on “Ugly Betty.”

Tonight is Barrett Foa’s turn. Foa (Mamma Mia!, Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) is guest starring in tonight’s episode of the CBS FBI series “Numb3rs,” entitled “First Law.”

(Foa is in the middle in the photo.)

The synopsis: “When a super computer is the prime suspect in the death of cutting-edge scientist, the team must use new means to crack the case. Meanwhile, Charlie weighs a compelling job offer.”

Foa is set to portray a computer geek who hacks into the Department of Defense’s computer system — my guess is he’s there to help the guys fix the super computer.

Barrett Foa made his Broadway debut in Mamma Mia!. His other theatre credits include: Avenue Q (as both Rod and Princeton), Camelot, Cupid and Psyche, The Fantasticks, Godspell, Gypsy, Kept, Mamma Mia!, and Much Ado About Nothing.

“Numb3rs” airs on Fridays on CBS at 10 PM ET; check local listings for time discrepancies.

And keep an eye peeled both here and on “NCIS,” because he’s supposed to guest star on at least two episodes of that show, too! We’ll let you know when.

Visit the official “Numb3rs” website for more information.
