Better late than never, but “American Idol’s” Diana DeGarmo, is currently starring as Dorothy in a limited tour of Oz, the Musical, which is a bit of a contemporary take on L. Frank Baum’s “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.”

The musical launched Feb. 7-8 at the Majestic Theatre in Dallas, TX, and went on to the Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium in Fort Worth on Feb. 13-14.

But it’s not too late! It’s showing Feb. 17 at Beaumont’s Jefferson Theatre, Feb. 21 at Waco’s Hippodrome Theatre, and Feb. 28 at Corpus Christi’s Selena Auditorium.

Diana DeGarmo garnered the spotlight during the 2004 season of “American Idol,” and went on to make her Broadway debut as Penny Pingleton in Hairspray, and in a tour of Brooklyn the Musical.
