Norbert Leo Butz stars on ABC’s The Deep End

19th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction For Broadway Cares

If you’re a fan of Broadway veteran actor Norbert Leo Butz, you’ll want to tune in to ABC’s “The Deep End.” This guy is chock full of talent — I had the pleasure of seeing him when the tour of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels came through Houston. A-MAZ-ING!

Butz stars on ABC’s “The Deep End,” a new hour-long drama about five first-year lawyers starting out at a top firm. The show premieres tonight, Jan. 21 at 8/7c on ABC, and is being likened to “Grey’s Anatomy” but in a law firm.

Butz stars as Rowdy Kaiser, one of the firm’s senior lawyers and its chief talent scout. You can see him in this clip below.

Butz originated the role of Fiyero in Wicked, as well as the role of con-man Freddy in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (which garnered him a Tony Award), among others. Recently he starred in the new musical debut of Catch Me If You Can at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre.

He will return to Broadway this spring in the play (with music) Enron, the now-infamous energy corporation. He is set to portray Jeffrey Skilling when the show opens on April 27 at The Broadhurst Theatre.

Visit the official “The Deep End” website for more information about the show.
