The show, which starred Megan Hilty, Allison Janney, and Stephanie J. Block in the roles originally played in the film by Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, and Jane Fonda, followed the story of secretaries working in an oppressive office.

Since it began previews November 3, 2007, and opened on January 10, 2008 at the Lunt-Fontanne, it played 50 previews and 685 regular performances.
You can still hear the cast as their voices were preserved on The Little Mermaid original Broadway cast recording.

Closing on Broadway, News, The Story of My Life »
I know this is being covered a bit late, but I’m catching up with the news, and I can’t NOT discuss this.
In what is probably one of the shortest openings-closings on Broadway, The Story of My Life stands out. The show opened to previews on Feb. 3, opened to audiences on Feb. 19, and closed on Feb. 22.
How sad is that? And it sounded good, too. Sure, it didn’t have the flashy sets and whatnot, but it sounded like it had a decent storyline and music. Kind of like Jason …

Rentheads’ (a.k.a. diehard Rent fans) voices have been heard: the hit Broadway musical has been granted an extension, and will close September 7, 2008. This is an extension of approximately 3 months. (Previously a closing date of June 1 had been reported.) No doubt ticket demand had some influence in this case.
If you’ve already bought tickets for up to the June 1 date, you now have the option of attending a later performance. The final performance is now 6:30 PM on September 7, and, according to Ticketmaster.com, tickets are on …
Beauty and the Beast, Closing on Broadway, Disney »
Beauty and the Beast will be closing on Sunday, July 29. Today we’re looking back at a performance from the 1994 Tony Awards
(Note: Thank you to the folks that alerted me to the typo. In my rush to pre-post before leaving for vacation, I had fat-fingered and written the performance year as 2004. It is obvious that it wasn’t 2004, but instead 1994. Sorry for the error.)

Tarzan will beat his chest and yell and swing for the last time this Sunday evening.

Disney Theatrical producer Thomas Schumacher had this to say:
