“American Idol” Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks will be appearing several times on “Live with Regis and Kelly.” He appeared on the syndicated morning talk show this morning, Feb. 19, and will be appearing tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 20, as well as March 2.
Today’s and tomorrow’s appearances are related to the show’s segment, “Dating with the Stars.” For his date, Hicks picked Julie Courtney, 31, a San Francisco real-estate consultant. Friday (tomorrow), the pair will share the juicy details of about their date.

“Grease: You’re the One that I Want,” host Denise Van Outen was right when she predicted that we would see Derek Keeling, a “Danny” finalist, on elsewhere on stage. Derek, who came to be known as”Wholesome Danny,” is now starring in the reading of a new musical called Dreamweavers.

America has spoken for the underdogs. I knew Laura had the right stuff, and wish that there could have been some way for both Max and Austin to share the role. Silly, but in light of the latest “Grease” craze, it’s kind of cute.

Sorry for the belated post! Well, my predictions were right: Derek and Allie were eliminated from the competition last Sunday night.

I really liked Derek, but I’m just not sure that he’s got the stamina to perform 7 days a week, plus matinées. His voice cracked too many times to be confident. I do hope I understood correctly that Kathleen Marshall plans to work with him in the future, though. I know he’d be good!

And poor Allie. She was so sweet, but it’s just getting down to the wire. I wonder …
