Rooms: a rock romance opened Off-Broadway last night, March 16, at New World Stages/Stage 2. Previews for the musical began Feb. 27.
Press notes say Rooms “begins in 1970s Glasgow where Monica, an ambitious singer/songwriter meets Ian, a reclusive rocker. The two quickly become entangled creatively and romantically. Their music takes them first to London and ultimately to New York City, where they discover the vibrant new music scene and create an intimate partnership, their love deepening while their personalities drive them apart. Jon Montgomery & Toby Kasavan Bring Hell’s Kitchen To Hudson Guild Theater
Hell’s Kitchen The Musical opened Off-Broadway February 11th at The Hudson Guild Theater. Veteran singer/songwriter and composer Jon Montgomery (Foreigner, KISS) adapted Hell’s Kitchen The Musical from his screenplay “The King Of 42nd Street.” He teamed up with pianist and composer Toby Kasavan (Bootsy Collins, Wilson Pickett), and after the score and book was written, Hell’s Kitchen was first showcased at 353 Studios in 2004.

Remember Anthony Fedorov, “the Clay Aiken of season 4″ of American Idol, in 2005? Well, he’s found his way Off-Broadway!
Fedorov joined the cast of The Fantasticks Revival on May 1st. He is playing the role of Matt, who falls in love with his neighbor’s daughter against both their fathers’ wishes. (The role of Matt was created by the late Jerry Orbach.)
